What is DMAT?
*D*isaster *M*edical *A*ssistance *T*eam is known as DMAT, a mobile medical team trained for activities during the acute phase of a disaster. A DMAT comprises physicians, species and and coordinaters ( clerical workers). This specially trained mobile medical team can be dispatched to the scene of a large-scale disaster or accident that affects many people for actions during the acute phase: within approximately 48 hours.
